Umm A'Tair Island, located in the eastern part of Musandam Governorate in Khasab State, is a nature reserve for birds, especially the Arctic Tern. It is included in nature reserves under the International Union for Conservation of Nature Report (IUCN report) of 1986. It is also called the Island of Eggs because of the large number of Migratory sea birds taken by nesting.
