The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Information, participated in presenting this year’s Press Club Awards in London, known as the “Oscars of Journalism,” attended by dozens of the most influential figures in the media sector. The awards recognised outstanding work in news coverage, investigative journalism, and exclusive investigations.
The Ministry of Information’s participation in presenting the “Journalist of the Year” and “Financial Journalist of the Year” awards represents an important step towards strengthening the Sultanate of Oman’s presence in the British media landscape, expanding its network of professional relations with influential media institutions, and consolidating the role of media cooperation as one of the avenues supporting bilateral relations and building sustainable partnerships between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom.
This participation reflects the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment to recognising professional excellence in journalism. It also provided an opportunity to engage with a group of journalists, editors-in-chief, and media professionals in the United Kingdom, facilitate the exchange of expertise in international media and international media relations, and explore future cooperation opportunities between Omani and British media institutions.
